National Honor Society                                                                                                                                

The Bishop Benitez Chapter of the National Honor Society at Episcopal High School (Bellaire, Texas) is an organization that promotes recognition for students who have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service.

Congratulations to the new members. The Spring Induction Ceremony was held on April 27, 2005, at 7:00 pm, in the Russell Courtyard.   The Spring Induction Ceremony is typically held at the end of April every year for the induction of new members and the installation of officers.

   2005 --2006 NHS MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS

Applications for the Fall semester will be available in October.  Seniors are eligible to apply in the Fall.   Juniors are eligible to apply for membership in the spring semester.  Applications for the spring semester will be available in February.

Applicants must have a minimum of 3.5 GPA.   Each applicant will be evaluated on the basis of scholarship, service (both community and EHS), character, and leadership (both inside and outside of the classroom).  There is no limit on the number of students who can be selected for membership. Selection is made by a Faculty Committee, selected by the Head of School.  Final approval is by the Head of School

SERVICE PROJECTS

                                  THANK YOU TO ALL EHS STUDENTS WHO SUPPORTED OUR PROJECTS.

Service projects have included the following: 

Book drive to benefit middle school libraries in the Houston Independent School District.

Reindeer candy canes were sold during December to raise funds to support the EHS scholarship program.
