In June, EHS faculty, students, and a few friends from other schools left for a service adventure trip to the Wind River Arapaho Reservation in Central Wyoming. We spent a week getting to Wyoming. We spent time hiking in Colorado and camped at the Brown's West Texas ranch near Alpine. We all were so tired of riding in the unairconditioned bus, it didn't seem to matter that it was still 100 degrees when we got to the Brown's ranch. On the reservation, each of us worked with a group of teens from all over the country. Most were from church youth groups. Most of the work involved painting the house of a family on the reservation. Many of the families did not have funds for the work, but, as pictured above, joined in the painting. It rained one day. Some groups stayed at the school. Others got to know their resident families better. Thanks to the following people who made the trip possible:
