| First Ever Student-Run
General Assembly
|
|
October 15, 2003 |
|
The Student Services, along with the help of fellow Student
Council members held the first ever student-run General Assembly
Wednesday, October 15th, 2003
. Set up to help voice the opinions and concerns of the Student Body, students
answered questions in an open-mic style chapel. Sam Miller, Student Council
chairman, mediated the event. “I think having an open forum, without the
presence of many faculty extracted many important opinions concerning the Honor
Code, Zero Tolerance policy, and the ever-controversial issue of the uniform,”
Miller observed. Student Services is preparing to propose solutions to the
covered issues to Mr. Eades and Mr. Becker. More on the results of the Assembly
will follow.

| Chili Cook Off A Big Success
| |
March 30, 2002 |
|
The Third Annual Chili Cook Off was a tremendous
success. This year's celebration was bigger and better in every way. Even though
the Cook Off faced tense competition from Bob Dylan at the rodeo, it stood its
ground. This year's musical group, Drifter, was a big hit with everyone.
In addition, there were more games than ever before. Overall, the party was a
victory for the school and the students. And we welcome all entries for next
year.

| Final Exams on the
Horizon
| |
April 8, 2002 |
| Awful truths, at one time or another, must indeed be confronted.
We're talking about final exams here, people. For those students taking AP
courses, the AP exams take place during the first weeks in May. Regular finals
take place during the last week of May. It may not be the most fun thing to do,
but it never hurts to get organized early--so you don't have to do it later.
Also, incremental repetition is far more helpful to the mind that cramming. Hit
the books early. |
